Rubber boots

As you may have noticed, we are not like many other farms.  We don't use a lot of the equipment and such that other farms with livestock and large gardens might utilize.  But one thing we do use is rubber boots!  We have them in all sizes:  from big-man size to baby size.  (In case you don't recognize them, those are MY feet in the big man boots.)

I love rubber boots for the simple fact that I don't have to deal with wet, muddy shoes OR spend my whole day saying "Be careful, don't get wet!"

Even with a heavy dew, the kids will pull on their rubber boots to go outside.  Of course, they also know they can walk through a puddle or two if they have their boots on!

But not even rubber boots can keep a 17-month-old from trying the mud.

  3. Yup, love my boots too, did a post the other day in fact. My kids lived in their gum boots too - and they were pink - which makes it easy to find the ones they hid in the bushes because they didn't want me to throw them out. Pink is not smart by the way - you can't pass them onto families with boys very well.
